Our Purpose

Empowering Every Cancer Journey

To empower people affected by cancer by collecting and sharing honest, human stories — offering support, awareness, education, and community to all who need it.

What's Ahead

A World Where No Story Goes Unheard

A world where no one faces cancer in silence — where shared stories foster healing, reduce fear, and build solidarity across borders, cultures, and circumstances.

What We Do

We carry out several programs to fulfill our mission

A moderated, accessible online platform for cancer patients, survivors, caregivers and family members to share their stories — from diagnosis, treatment, survival, loss, recovery, and beyond.

Helping patients connect with trusted hospitals and specialists both within the country and abroad, ensuring they receive the right treatment at the right time.

Guiding patients and families through the medical visa process, travel arrangements, documentation, and pre-appointment requirements for international treatment.

Supporting patients across every stage of their cancer journey — from diagnosis to treatment planning — helping them understand options, manage appointments, and make informed decisions.

Assisting patients in communicating with hospitals, doctors, and medical teams — helping with inquiries, appointment coordination, and clarification of medical information.

Connecting newly diagnosed patients with survivors and experienced patients who can offer practical guidance, emotional comfort, and inspiration.

Providing trained volunteers or support personnel to accompany patients during hospital visits, tests, or treatment sessions when physical or emotional support is needed.

Offering educational programs, workshops, and community awareness initiatives to improve early detection, reduce stigma, and spread knowledge.

Helping survivors transition back to daily life with guidance on recovery, lifestyle change, mental health, follow-up routines, and long-term wellness.

Building a strong network of volunteers and advocates who help raise awareness, support patients, share stories, assist with events, and speak up for better cancer care and patient rights.

Origin Story — Why OncoStory Was Founded

Origin Story

Why OncoStory Was Founded

In 2024, a small group of friends in Bangladesh—patients, caregivers, and volunteers—began noticing the same painful reality: many people facing cancer felt lost. Families struggled to understand what to do next, reliable information was hard to find, and emotional support was rarely available.

Each of them had a personal connection to cancer. Some had supported a loved one through treatment, while others had gone through the journey themselves. They realized that what made the biggest difference was not just medicine, but guidance, shared stories, and a caring community.

With this belief, they decided to build something meaningful—a safe space where anyone affected by cancer could find clear information, real-life stories, emotional support, and hope.

That idea became OncoStory.

Today, OncoStory exists to make sure no one has to walk through cancer alone. Through community voices, verified resources, and compassionate support, the organization continues its mission:
to empower, connect, and uplift every person touched by cancer.

You’re not alone — and you never have to be.
